For the past 6 years I have gone apple picking. I love it. I love the baking that comes along with it. This year I think I am going to make homemade applesauce, a few apple pies with crumb topping, apple dumplings, and I am sure some other apple related things as well.
This year I tried a new orchard and I really liked it. It is a local orchard that has tons of fun events going on. You have to walk a bit compared to the other orchard that takes you to the trees by tractor, I actually enjoyed the walk it was great. We were able to get alot of great apples. And they taste so good.
My friend Sara went with me and we had such a good time. We are looking forward to all the fun we are going to have baking with our apples. We also have a joint Halloween party scheduled and will be using some of the apples at the party.
