In 39 days my plane leaves Philadelphia for Africa. Tunis to be exact and I will be spending 3 weeks in Africa visiting my sister and her family. My mom is able to fly all of us, myself, my brothers, my sister in law, my two nephews, my niece, and herself to Africa for Christmas. I can not even begin to express what an incredible gift this is. I am so excited to see my sister and her family. I want to hug her babies, one that I have never met and two that I have never gone more than 6 weeks without seeing. I have not seen them since May and I am missing them so much it hurts. They have grown so much since they left and I am sad to be missing it. The experience they are having in Africa makes the missing them all worth it as it is a once in a lifetime experience.
So I leave you with a few pictures of my sister’s children that I had taken when they lived in the states. And of course one of the Baby that I “borrowed” from my sister’s blog. I can not wait to get myself, my laptop, and my camera to the beautiful Mediterranean and take lots of pictures. It is a dream come true for a photographer. I am so lucky and I know it.
Wee Wittle who is still in love with Dinosaurs. This is over a year old but sums up the dinosaur lover that he continues to be, though he does have a liking for King Kong, which he was for Halloween 2008.
By far my favorite picture I have ever taken of Princess Buttercup. The eyelashes, the baby teeth, the lips, her beautiful face, everything about it I love!
And the baby who I will meet for the first time in 39 days! I can not wait to get my baby loving hands on her. And of course my camera and tutus and all the fun things I can do with her and my camera. I am going to have to meet her before I can give her a code name like her brother and sister. I am leaning towards Sweet Cheeks but we will have to wait and see.
this is so exciting and I can’t wait to see your photos–the kids, the scenery, the animals–everything
